Items being restocked

We are working feverishly to restock all the sold-out items in our shops! Every year we sell out of LOTS of items during our End-Of-Year Clearance Sale during the last week of the year. The 2012 sale produced the same results. If you visit any of our online marketplaces, you will see that MANY items have been taken down or have been marked as sold-out. We will be spending the next couple months restocking these items. It takes awhile to get everything back in stock, so be patient with us! And FYI...our soap takes the longest to get back in stock because of the long cure time. We try to restock the soap based on popularity of the scents.

Today we just restocked a few lotion sticks, including Unscented, Spellbound and Warm Vanilla Sugar. (we will be restocking all the time, but will only occasionally be posting notices)

Rolling out some seasonal faves!

Woohoo....fall is here! Isn't it just the BEST season? I know it's my favorite. I love wearing a certain sweater around the house, over every outfit, almost daily. It's like a warm hug....ahhhhh! I also love pulling my swing coat & pea coat out from the back of the closet....LOVE them....and miss them in the off-seasons. But, of course, one of the most fun things about fall is getting ready for the holidays. And besides all the excitement at home, the fun is also building in the soap kitchen! It's time to welcome back our autumn/winter limited edition handmade soap in an amazing array of sentimental scents & fun shapes. A few of our seasonal soap scents are now available...with many more coming out in the next week or so. Watch for our tweets to find out when your favorite is back!

Preparing for the holiday RUSH

It's that time of year again....time for our little handmade soap business to become a mini factory! Soap bars are flying by like beer bottles on the line in the Laverne & Shirley opening. (did that just totally show my age? or was it the use of the word TOTALLY? LOL!)

We have been making TONS of soap in seasonal scents, special shapes, building inventory of our 'regular' fragrances & restocking scents that we offer in limited quantity. Boy, oh boy, does it smell good in here! All the little soapies are nestled & snug on our curing rack waiting for their time to shine! The photo below is a few years old & shows how we used to have soap curing. Now we have one of those rolling baking racks with a gazillion shelves. It is able to temporarily house TONS & TONS of curing soap....and it's mobile! Thank goodness for that rack, it was one of the best purchases ever. Although, we need to get a second one now.

What else is going on? A few new ideas are currently being worked out. Local craft shows have been booked. Black Friday sales & giveaway details are being planned. In fact, we *just* placed an order for a special FREE giveaway for our Black Friday sale. We're not telling what it is though....you'll have to stay tuned to find out all the details!

Well, I  guess that is all for the update for now. I'll be posting, tweeting & blogging when items become ready for purchase. So....stay tuned for the Gingerbread Man's return announcement!

We've had such a GREAT reaction to our laundry soap! People everywhere are now enjoying the menial task of doing laundry now! You only need 1 tablespoon to clean an entire load of laundry. Give it a try....we have small 3oz samplers available.

We now offer our customers the opportunity to layer their favorite Concord Soap scent by using our soap, salts, lotion & now perfume!

Since I had some free time today (sarcasm), I decided that my time would be well spent by checking how many of the 50 states we have shipped our goodies to. (again, sarcasm) To my surprise, we've almost shipped to every state in the country, 45 out of 50! WOW! I was really surprised....I knew we had shipped to most of the states, but I was expecting more like 40 or so. Of course, the next question you are all wondering is...which 5 states have we NOT shipped to?

BEER Soap!

We had a very busy Black Friday-Cyber Monday 2010 weekend. Our BEER SOAP was blogged about & we were selling it faster than we could make it! Throughout Nov & Dec, we participated in our usual local craft shows & even added a new one in Mayfield Village, Ohio. Then it was the mad rush of holiday shopping that kept us busy. But nothing compares to how busy we get during our Annual Half Off End-of-Year Clearance Sale!!! Phew...that week is sooooo CRAZY!! We sold almost every last bar of soap that we had! At the end of the week, we had about 10 bars of soap left...that's it!

We've been BUSY! We have been making soap like crazy lately. We have made lots of our handmade cold process soap in amazing holiday scents...some are ready now & a few are still curing. The seasonal scents that we now have available in our Etsy shop & on our website are: Gingerbread, Mistletoe, Snowflake, Frankincense & Myrrh and Pumpkin Spice! Yummy! We will be adding these holiday fragrances to our Zibbet & Trunkt shops this week. Our Autumn Spice Soap Leaves are back in stock as well! Look for Cranberry, Bayberry Spice, Candy Cane and more to be released as the soap becomes fully cured. Keep in mind that these are seasonal scents, so there are a limited quantity available. We are SUPER excited to announce the release of our Cupcake Soap! These little cuties are sooooo adorable! Our Cupcake Soap is 1.5-2.0 ounces of soap packaged in a colorful cupcake liner with a nylon body puff embedded into the soap. It is wrapped in cello and sealed with a ribbon bow. They will be available in different colors and scents. To use: peel off the liner paper & wet. Work lather into the puff & wash away! These make ADORABLE gifts or favors! BEER Soap for Father's Day!

Coming up with gift ideas for Father's Day can be a daunting task. We've come up with the perfect solution! BEER SOAP! What? Sounds crazy, you say? Check it out!

Custom Wedding Favors!

As promised in my last blog post, here are some shots of our Custom Wedding Favors!These little cuties are our hand dipped soap petals lovingly packaged in a sweet little tin. It is finished with a ribbon and custom label.
What are Soap Petals?
They are silk rose petals that are hand-dipped into scented melt & pour soap.How do they work?
Simply put the petals next to your sink where you would normally put your guest soap. Take one petal and wash your hands with it as normal. Discard petal when done. (If you will be using these petals yourself, you can continue using the same petal for a number of washings. You can even upcycle the petals once all the soap is used, as potpourri.)The soap petals and matching ribbon are available in any color. You may choose any of our current fragrances for this custom order. The top label will be customized to your needs. They can be made with Thank You, Merry Christmas (shown below) or any other message on the top label.
Please be aware that this is a CUSTOM order! It will take 2-3 weeks to complete this type of order after all color layout decisions have been made. We offer these tins in an assortment of quantities to fit your needs. There are price breaks for ordering higher quantities.

Where have we been??

Arrrgh...it's been awhile since my last blog post. Where have we been, you ask?! Hard at work, of course! We had a large wedding order to fill. (I'll post pix in a few days) It was 250 tins of soap petals with custom labels. They turned out awesome! (I know, pix would be nice...they're coming, I swear!) Then we had a wholesale order to fill. And, of course, I had to make some things to fill it. Plus, this is the time of year when production starts gearing up for the holidays! I've been making lots & lots of stuff to restock my poor, depleted inventory. I am hoping to be able to make a few NEW items for the holiday season, too. I have so many ideas! That's all for now...hopefully I'll be back soon to post some pix of the wedding favors!

My CRAZY life!

Well...life has been particularly crazy these days. Some *good* crazy & some *terrible* crazy! First, the bad news...we've had another death in the family. A dear, sweet cousin that has gone on our last 6 vacations with us died suddenly from a heart attack. We were supposed to leave in a few days for our 7th trip with him. We are all devastated. He will be missed more than I can express right now.

The other crazy part of our lives are all the typical summer stuff...softball games, karate, library programs, summer house projects, vacation and all the gazillion things we try to accomplish each summer! PLUS both of my sisters are getting married! This excitement adds even more to the summer mayhem: wedding showers, bachelorette parties, shower favor making, wedding favor making, invitation stuffing, dress fittings, dress alterations, shoe shopping (or I should say shoe SEARCHING) and everything else I am forgetting at the moment!!! Yikes...now that I typed it out I am really scared!

Sooooooo....I apologize in advance for not keeping this blog up-to-date! Please forgive me...and if you don't & want to file a complaint...TAKE A NUMBER! heehee
